Playtex has received 99 reports of the holder cracking or breaking. Playtex is recalling more than 1 million pacifier holder clips because it can pose a choking hazard to small children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the pacifier holder can crack and pieces could create a choking hazard for small children.

Thomas J. Howard, Sr., 90, of Naples, FL, and summer resident of Green Hill, RI, died Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Betty Ann (Lyden) Howard for 59 years. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late Charles D., Sr. and Stella (Gallagher) Howard. Thomas was an executive in the Import/Export Business for many years.

Tuesday night's snowstorm blanketed much of Rhode Island with more than 8 inches of snow, wreaking havoc on the roads and forcing schools to cancel classes.
